Sell me some insurance... PLEASE!!!

I really should start a spreadsheet that tracks all of the solicitation calls I receive. After today's rash of calls trying to sell me health insurance (We'd like to give you a free quote to show how you can save... blah blah blah), I'm convinced that there must be a pattern. Maybe the 2nd week of the month is "insurance" week. If there is a pattern, then last week was surely "long distance carrier" week.

Certainly, when you run a small business, you have to expect a certain number of solicitation calls, even if your number is on the "Do Not Call" registry, but what would be lovely is if these people would just take "no" for an answer and end the call without you having to transform into a total jerk just to get them off the phone.

I'm not the type to go off on somebody, even when I'm getting sub-standard customer service, but when I tell you "I'm not interested", then I don't expect you to come back with "I understand, BUT...". Really, just shut the $!#@ up already! Even if I was inclined to purchase your product or service, now that you've gotten me riled up, I'd rather chew broken glass than buy from you. Capice?

In a future post, we'll touch on the ever-popular topic of email spam. :)
